| Donny Mozzetti |
Donny is a California native, raised in San Jose. Currently, Donny is certified as a Message Therapist and is
attending school to get his degree in Physical Therapy. He has joined the Dance Zone staff as our Gymnastics Director/Instructor and is a USAG certified gymnastics coach. Donny has taught gymnastics for 8 years, working with all ages, starting at Mommy and Me classes all the way through Power Tumbling. Another area of expertise for Donny is cheerleading. He was on the United Spirit Assoc. for 8 years and has been a part of the 49ers, Raiders, Sacramento Kings and UCLA half time shows. Donny is a certified USASF Cheerleading Coach for levels 1-5 and has coached competitive nationally ranked high school, jr. high and all star teams. In the summer he works for JAMZ teaching cheerleading summer camps to kids of all ages. You can find Donny at the 49er games as their first ever on field crowd leading team, The 49er Touch Down Team. Donny shows his enthusiasm when cheering competitively with a college all star team of Northern California. We are very happy that Donny has joined our Dance Zone team. |

Daniel Arizmendi, an international martial arts champion, began his classical training at the Redding Ballet Academie's Pre-Professional program; and he also was privately coached by Natasha Morken. For six years, he was a leading male dancer and choreographer for the Redding City Ballet and Redding Ballet Academie. In 2008, he founded the Belariz Ballet school, performed for FACT/SF's Home Season 3.0, and was a founding member of Artesan Dance Company. As a choreographer and teacher, he creates original works and teaches master classes for dance companies, schools, and universities. |
| Meredith Flythe |
Meredith has been dancing since the age of 2, spending the majority of her training under Janet Nordgren-Taddie, Janell Tomblin-Brown, Bob Macke and Deborah Skinner. She received her B.A. in Dance Performance/Choreography as well as a minor in musical theater in June of 2000 from San Jose State University. Her most recent training comes from Robert Moses, Janet Van Swoll, Janie Scott, Fred Mathews, and Gary Masters. While at SJSU she was given the opportunity to represent SJSU at the American College Dance Festival as well as touring with their musical theater company "Company One" for 2 years. She is trained in Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Modern, Ballet, Musical Theater, Pilates Dance Yoga, Dance History, Choreography and Costume Design. Her professional appearances include a television pilot featuring Janie Greggins, Billy Hufsy from "FAME" and MC Hammer. She has also been a dancer for both Paramount’s Great America as well as Disneyland. Meredith has also worked and performed in many of the AIDS benefits at Fort Mason with Anne Frazier and Ross Mgowen. She was a guest dancer for 4 years in the Oakland Ballet "Nutcracker". She has also choreographed and performed for many famous Asian vocal artists such as Coco Lee and Jackie Chan. She has taught all around the Bay Area as well as Southern California, for the past 18 yrs teaching ages 2 through adult. She has taught 2 years at SJSU- Jazz I and Jazz II. She also has choreographed for SJSU’s musical theater company "Company One". |
| Michael Mappala |
Michael Mappala is best known for his R&B and soulful influence, as well as his passion and commitment to dance and the community. Mappy has been affiliated with dance companies like Ronnie Reddick's City Slam, Culture Shock San Francisco (later renamed Culture Shock Oakland), freestyle dance crew Mystic Disciples, Mind Over Matter, Funkanometry SF, Phoenix Dance Company. He has taught classes and companies all over the Bay Area, throughout Southern California, and in Las Vegas. He has also worked on a variety of projects, dancing and choreographing for Bay Area recording artists: Malyssa, Desi, Immij, and Kim Del Fierro. He also choreographed and danced for the Black-Eyed Peas, in the music video "Bebot". In September 2006, Mappy co-founded reDEFINE youth urban dance company. With Mappy as Artistic Director, reDEFINE went on to perform at several major venues in their first year such as the Golden State Warriors Game and Battlefest Live 360. As a full-time hip-hop director at Dancemakers Studio of the Arts, in Newark, a PDC dancer and a director for reDEFINE youth urban dance company, Mappy continues to live out his passion for dance in his daily life. He is constantly teaching and inspiring up-and-coming dancers, and looking for ways to bring recognition to the Bay Area dance community. |
